Toyota GR Supra A90/A91 Cooling Upgrade Guide – Intake Manifold, Heat Exchanger & Radiators
If you use a Toyota GR Supra A90/A91 hard on the road or at the track, cooling is one of the first systems worth planning as a package rather than as a single part. Racing Lab currently stocks several B58 cooling components that address different parts of the thermal system, so the most useful question is not “which cooler is best?” but “which part of the system are you trying to support?”

Start with the complete B58 cooling picture
The Supra’s B58 uses several cooling circuits and heat exchangers. Repeated high-load driving can put more heat into the charge-air, engine-cooling and transmission systems at the same time. For that reason, a track-focused setup is usually easier to plan in stages.
For the A90/A91 platform, Racing Lab’s current range includes the B58 Intake Manifold, Front Mount Heat Exchanger, Auxiliary Radiator and Transmission Oil Cooler.
1. Intake manifold and charge-air cooling
The intake manifold is part of the charge-air cooling system, so it becomes more relevant as boost, ambient temperature and session length increase. A larger-capacity charge-cooling solution is most useful when the goal is to keep intake temperatures more consistent during repeated acceleration rather than chasing a one-off dyno number.
If you are building a tuned B58 or a track-driven Supra, view the Racing Lab B58 Intake Manifold as one part of the cooling system, not a substitute for the rest of it.
2. Front mount heat exchanger
The front heat exchanger helps the charge-cooling circuit reject heat to ambient air. This is especially relevant for cars that see repeated pulls or circuit sessions where heat builds faster than the system can recover between runs.
The Racing Lab Front Mount Heat Exchanger is a direct product match for owners looking to increase the front-end cooling capacity of the B58 platform.
3. Auxiliary radiator
An auxiliary radiator supports the wider cooling package. It is a useful consideration when the car is spending more time under sustained load and you want the system to recover more effectively between hard sections of a drive or between track laps.
See the Racing Lab B58 Auxiliary Radiator for the BMW G-Series and Supra A90 application.
4. Transmission oil cooling
Track use does not only add heat to the engine. The automatic transmission also works harder during repeated braking, acceleration and gear changes. If transmission temperature is the part of the car that is limiting session consistency, an engine-cooling upgrade will not directly solve that problem.
That is where a dedicated B58 Transmission Oil Cooler fits into the overall package.
Which upgrade should you do first?
For a street car, start with the part that addresses the temperature you are actually seeing. For a tuned or track-driven Supra, it makes more sense to log intake temperature, coolant temperature and transmission temperature and then build the cooling package around the data.
